Support

There are 2 areas that I need your support in.  Can anyone guess?  If you said prayer and financial support you are correct!  While most people see this as a burden, I see it as an awesome opportunity and privelege to be a part of.  I know it sounds crazy because just a month ago I saw both as such a burden as you might see them.  The reason was because my view of money and prayer was wrong without me even knowing it.  I viewed both as something that I had to give up, something of my own possession until I read scripture and was so importantly reminded of how God sees it.  The following scripture taught me alot:

I Chronicles 29:11-14
Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power
   and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
   for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, LORD, is the kingdom;
   you are exalted as head over all.
12 Wealth and honor come from you;
   you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
   to exalt and give strength to all.
13 Now, our God, we give you thanks,
   and praise your glorious name.
 14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand."

I never thought of my money being God's, my time being God's and my possessions being God's.  Everything I commit and surrender is in all reality giving back into the hands of Him who truly owns it all.  


I don't write all of this to guilt you into anything, but to simply share one simple way the Lord has changed my heart and my thinking.  Know that through this process I have made commitments of my own and sacrifices of my own.  Through fundraising, bakesales, and my own money from my summer job I am continuing to contribute as much as I can for this trip.  I understand that whether it be a sacrifice of money for financial support or time for prayer, it is nonetheless a sacrifice.  Only you know if the Lord is urging you to give of either.  If so, you can click here or the link below to give online.  I have also included my mailing address on the "My Message To You" page.  


Prayer Support
If prayer is your method of support, I would love to hear that I have your support in that!  Send me a quick email, facebook message, or comment on this post.  James 5:12 says "Do not swear-not by heaven or by earth or by anything else.  Let your "yes" be yes, and your "no," no..."  I need prayer warriors not just for me, but for my team and the people of India.  Prayer is powerful and I am the first to admit that I can't comprehend it's power and I don't pray enough.  But, I desire for this opportunity to challenge both of us in that area.  I appreciate your support more than you know!  The following are areas that you can be praying for:
  • That God would provide opportunities for the gospel to be shared and the the hearts of the people of India would be responsive.
  • Safety in travel and working out all of the logistical details of the trip.
  • That God would teach and refine me as I prepare to go on this trip, during, and after trip
  • That God would provide the money necessary to go on this campaign and that I meet all the necessary deadlines
